Both formulas are engineered with select, high performance polymers, ARDEX CD mixes with just water and requires no additives. It mixes quickly to a smooth, slurry consistency that provides excellent workability. ARDEX CD can be applied by trowel, squeegee, broom or hopper gun. Once applied, can be broom textured to provide a reduced slip surface. It can even be used to patch small gouges and spalls prior to resurfacing (see mixing ratio on bag).

ARDEX CD has an excellent working time, yet dries fast. A new surface can accept light foot traffic in as little as 2 hours, and can be driven on in 6 to 8 hours. This means little “down time” when it really counts. Better still, ARDEX CD requires NO SPECIAL CURING!

  Unlike newly installed concrete, ARDEX CD requires no special curing. Just spread and let dry. Drying times will vary according to local climate and temperatures. As with any concrete surface, application and maintenance of a breathable, waterborne concrete sealer will improve the surface's resistance to dirt, oils and de-icing chemicals.

  ARDEX CD bonds strong, has outstanding freeze-thaw characteristics and provides a compressive strength of 4,000 psi and a flexural strength of 1000 psi.

ARDEX CD dries to a light gray color. However, as jobsite conditions and concrete surfaces vary, it is not intended to match the color of the concrete being resurfaced. ARDEX CD is recommended for residential and commercial. It is not intended for industrial applications such as loading docks, heavy manufacturing environments, or areas with heavy truck traffic.
